Woah, flash back! Remember the days before Twilight was so huge? When people still thought Rob was fugly and when Kristen had long hair? Ah... good times ;)
I know everyone might slam me for this, but I really can not stand Catherine at all!! Shes like too old trying to act 20 and just gives me the impression that she thinks shes a better director than she is. Uggh, I just get annoyed by her!!!
i wish people would stop hating on catherine. yeah she's a bit off but damn it she brought us rob as edward for fux sake i mean really. LOL btw kristen looks beautiful in those pics i wish she still looked like that. SIGH
@ Anon 5:29 i totally agree! I mean seriously?! Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen was the BEST decision she EVER made. And also Kristen is absoluetly beautiful in these pictures, i love her hair!!
Let's face it, Coughwick (Cougar and Hardwick) has serious limitations as a director. Mostly because she has a bit of a Peter Pan complex. However, that which makes her weak also makes her a strong visionary. She carved effing Edward Cullen out of a guy that looked like Salvador Dali when he came to audition and she carved Jacob out of the Disney Sharkboy. Granted, you can't mess with Rob's beauty, but she found a way to polish it so that it would ensnare us and dammit, it has! Here we are over a year later, still lusting after her handy work. By the way, Cougwick was right about the manscaping. Rob could stand to lose some of those extra eyebrow.
So in closing, she may never win any awards for outstanding direction of a film especially in the technical department. The chicken on Jame's shoulder saw to that. But she most certainly deserves an Oscar for her outstanding and if not visionary casting skills. Not to mention, she gave us VAMPIRE BASEBALL! You go CougwicK! You and your re-attached-finger looking man hands.
Oh, and if this is what Kristen looked like at the audition, I totally get why he got online as soon as he got home to beg Cougwick for the part. Very few men on earth have achieved love, wealth and fame by following their little heads. In fact Rob seems to be only one. Because it usually goes by the way of Tiger Woods or Bill Clinton.
I think Rob followed his heart not the little head. Kristen's hair is growing. Catherine's choice to paint the entir movie blue still bugs me. But she cast it brilliantly. Including Rachelle.
I think Catherine manage to bring on the screen the emotions of first love at 17. I cant remember any moovie that did this so well.So I guess we are lucky she is weird and feel young with out looking. I hope Eclipse turn out OK - but perhaps she will have been a better choice for it. New Moon and Breaking Down are probably not her stile, but again I cant imagine a different Twilight
